We were so glad that we got to be a part of our Neice Grace's 1st Birthday Party!!!!
She is clapping here, because she ate the first bite of her first cake!! Everyone started clapping, so she thought she'd better clap too!! She wasn't too sure about the sweetness of the cake at first, but then realized it was pretty good.
Grace with the help of Mom and Dad blew out the 1 pink candle on her cake!! She was so proud that she wanted to clap too.
After the first bite, she figured it was ok to keep eating all the yummy sweetness of the cake!!
Here is the beautiful cake that Carrie's mom made. The theme of the party was the Very Hungry Catapillar. Carrie's mom sure has a wonderful talent for making cakes.

I just realized I don't know your email! To make the advent calendar-I just bought little wooden circles of different sizes, drilled a small hole in them and painted them. I also had the board cut and painted it. For the tree and designs, I actually got one of those sticker things that you place on and then rub it to make it stick to the wood. Then I screwed little nails (I used white) onto the board in order to hang my little "ornaments". You can use either stickers or stencils for the numbers on the actual ornmaents. If you have any more questions-let me know! And I hope that you are doing okay-Britt keeps me posted but I'm sorry to hear that you are on bedrest for the next month.
